The Ministry of Public Safety and Utilities announces the appointment of the Prison Visiting Committee for a period of two (2) years. The Visiting Committee serves as an independent oversight body of HMP Grand Turk. As a closed institution, HMP Grand Turk must operate with transparency and accountability in the delivery of its principal duties of public protection and rehabilitation. The Committee serves to ensure HMP Grand Turk is operating to proper standards of care, decency and security.
